Reconnecting A Habitat Fractured By Freeways
For decades, the 101 has cut the Santa Monica Mountains off from the wild lands to the north. Spanning the freeway at Liberty Canyon and designed to blend seamlessly into the surrounding ecosystem, the wallis anneberg wildlife crossing gives wildlife a safe path between two worlds that were never meant to be separate, reconnecting an ecosystem and giving the animals that depend on it room to recover.
